Spring Clean #5
Day 15 into the detox and I am feeling 100% on how I was last week.
I really think that was all side effects of my body withdrawing from sugar – scary! I am a person who doesn’t consume much sugar. I don’t eat any of the biggest ‘sugar sneaks’ the foods that you would never think would have much sugar in them, such as cereals, muesli bars, sauces and ‘low fat’ foods. But my body, like the majority of the population, was addicted to sugar.
I have had two more colonics since I last blogged, and each one has made me feel even better than the last. I feel much more ‘stuff’ is being moved from my system and I feel lighter and lighter after every session. Seeing what comes out has made me so much more conscious of what I put in my mouth. I feel too often we eat and don’t even think about the fact that we are putting this stuff in our precious bodies.
Ask yourself this, would you ever take a pill from someone you didn’t know? Well, why are we so naive as to think by eating packaged foods is any different? Because the government wouldn’t put chemicals in our food if they weren’t safe for us? If you believe this and care about your health, I suggest you buy “The Chemical Maze” by Bill Statham. There is a new one released regularly, and it is what all those numbers are on the back of your foods, it’s not pretty.
So all in all I’m feeling positive about my experiences and ready to tackle each new stage I encounter. I am doing daily yoga this week as I only did 2 sessions last week as I didn’t have the energy. I have been sweating while doing it so much more than usual, which I’m taking as a good sign. I’ve also been running shorter distances to keep my energy levels up.
Keep an eye out as in the next week I’ll be adding some of the recipes I’ve been using through the detox.
